QNickel6 | Quantum Computing and Programming Workshop | October 21-22 & 28-29, 2023
We are pleased to announce the sixth QNickel workshop, which is being organized jointly by QPoland and Quantum AI Foundation! Join us for an introductory workshop on “Quantum Computing and Programming”, which focuses on Oracle’s quantum algorithms. You will learn the basics of quantum computing and how to write simple quantum programs.
We invite anyone interested in learning more about quantum computers to join us. During the workshop, we will use QWorld’s Nickel Introductory Training. While the educational materials are in English, lectures and mentoring will be provided in Polish. In addition to lectures, there will be Lab sessions focused on coding. We will use a dedicated Discord server to host the workshop.
Participants are expected to follow the workshop materials, attend the lectures, and complete the assignments on their own. The workshop will be held over 8 days, with approximately 14 hours of training.
The participants completing the workshop successfully will receive a diploma!
The participants are expected to work individually at least 16 hours to complete the following sections of Nickel: Conventional Quantum Algorithms in Qiskit, Solving Max-Cut problem using Grover’s Search in Cirq
The tutorial is a collection of Jupyter notebooks. We use python to solve the tasks and Qiskit library to code quantum programs. The participants should know at least one programming language, and they should make themselves familiar with Python before the workshop if they do not know Python. We will share the installation instructions and a few notebooks on basics of mathematics and participants should review them before the workshop starts.
