QQatar is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the field of quantum computing through research and education, as well as fostering a greater understanding of this exciting and transformative technology within the state of Qatar. QQatar was founded in December 2022 by Faculty members and students of Qatar University, and is headed by Prof. Tamer Khattab, Dr. Mohamed Mabrok, and Laith Kanaan.
Our goal is to increase public understanding and appreciation of this cutting-edge technology, as well as to support and promote the work of researchers and professionals in the field. As part of our mission, we host conferences and workshops on quantum computing in Qatar. In addition to our research and education efforts, QQatar also focuses on outreach and public engagement in Qatar. We aim to collaborate with public media outlets and other organizations in Qatar to share information about quantum computing and its potential impact on society and science.
