QBronze60 | Quantum Computing and Programming | May 17-28, 2021

Με μεγάλη χαρά σας προσκαλούμε στο online workshop Κβαντικού Υπολογισμού που διοργανώνεται από το QGreece “QBronze60”. We are pleased to invite you to the online workshop organized by QGreece! Join us in the introductory workshop “Quantum Computing and Programming” and learn the basics of quantum computing and how to write simple quantum programs by using Qiskit.

We are inviting everyone wishing to learn more about quantum computers. During the workshop, we will use the introductory tutorial Bronze-Qiskit by QWorld. The tutorial will be in English, and mentoring and online lectures will be available in Greek. We will use a dedicated Discord server to conduct the workshop and we will have daily Zoom meetings.

Participants are expected to follow the workshop materials, watch the lecture videos and complete the tasks on their own. The workshop will be held during 2 weeks with 20 hours of training. On-line mentoring will be provided for participants during the times specified in the schedule below. We will also use Canvas for homework tracking.

The participants completing the workshop (including homework) successfully will receive a diploma!

The participants are expected to work individually at least 16 hours to complete the following sections of Bronze-Qiskit: basics of classical systems, basics of quantum systems, basic quantum operators, quantum correlation and quantum protocols, and quantum search algorithm.

The tutorial is a collection of Jupyter notebooks, and each notebook has a recorded lecture. We use python to solve the tasks and Qiskit library to code quantum programs. The participants should know at least one programming language, and they should make themselves familiar with Python before the workshop if they do not know Python. We will share the installation instructions and a few notebooks on basics of mathematics and participants should review them before the workshop starts.


Diploma

We will share daily homework in Canvas (five homework in total), and the participants who complete them successfully will earn their diplomas. The details of homework will be shared later.
