QAlgeria was founded in 2024 by Dr. Taha Rouabah and his students at the University of Constantine 1, and the Constantine Quantum Technologies group. The founding team consists primarily of theoretical physicists, supported by computer science students specializing in AI. Our mission at QAlgeria is to bring quantum computing closer to Algerians and Africans at large. We aim to teach quantum computing, connect the quantum community, and empower the quantum ecosystem in Algeria and across Africa.
QAlgeria organizes hands-on workshops, engaging talks, and informative webinars, targeting a diverse audience interested in quantum technologies. By contributing to the global QWorld network, we strive to foster collaboration and innovation within the quantum field. Looking forward, QAlgeria envisions the establishment of a robust quantum industry in Algeria, driving technological advancement and economic growth in the region.
